BJP leader announces Rs 11 lakh bounty on West Bengal CM’s head

New Delhi: A new controversy has sparked between BJP and TMC in West Bengal. A BJP youth wing leader Yogesh Varshney in Aligarh has announced a bounty of Rs 11 lakh on West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee head.

The BJP leader accused Mamata of targeting Hindus, said, “Those who will cut and bring West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee head, I will give that person Rs 11 lakh.”

“Mamata never allows Saraswati Puja, fairs during Ram Navami and during Hanuman Jayanti procession, people were lathi charged and brutally beaten up. She organizes Iftar party and always supports Muslims,” he added.

His reaction comes in the backdrop of the lathicharge in West Bengal’s Birbhum during a rally on Hanuman Jayanti.

Suri police on Sunday warned the Bir Hanuman Jayanti organizers that it would not allow holding of any rally or meeting at Suri on Tuesday. The organizers had requested and assured the police that that they would not carry arms, but the police did not relent. So when they took out the rally, it was lathicharged.

The police arrested at least 10 people during the clash.
