Amit Shah Diagnosed With Swine Flu, Odisha Visit Put On Hold

New Delhi/ Bhubaneswar: The state unit of BJP has put party national president Amit Shah’s Odisha visit on hold following confirmation that he has been admitted to AIIMS, New Delhi, after being diagnosed with swine flu on Wednesday.

The leader confirmed it through a tweet: “I have been diagnosed with swine flu and treatment is underway. With God’s grace and your wishes I will recover soon.”

Speaking to mediapersons here, vice-president of BJP’s Odisha unit Samir Mohanty said, “The party national president is suffering from swine flu. He himself has tweeted about the development. In view of his health condition, his scheduled programme at Salepur on January 18 has been put on hold. Once the new date of his Odisha visit is finalised, we will inform about the same.”

According to sources, the BJP leader was admitted to the premier hospital at around 9 pm after he complained of chest congestion and breathing problem.
