Best Companies To Work In India: Flipkart, Amazon In Top-5

New Delhi: Direci, Flipkart and One97 Communications (Paytm) – all tech companies are the best places to work in India, according to LinkedIn’s latest ranking.

The list has been formulated on the basis of 47 million users with focus on four areas – interest in the company, engagement with the company’s employees, job demand and employee retention.

Here are the companies where India wants to work –

Directi

Established in 1998, Directi companies is a group of tech businesses with 1500 employees. It was founded by Bhavin Turakhia and Divyank Turakhia. It has offices in Mumbai, Delhi, Bengaluru, Dubai, New York, Los Angeles, Ras Al Khaimah and Zurich.

The group enterprise value is estimated to be $1.4 billion.

Flipkart

An e-commerce giant, Flipkart was set up by Sachin and Binny Bansal, and has over 8000 employees. It has its head-quarters in Bengaluru.

The newbies joining get a chance to explore the office through a ‘treasure-hunt game.

One 97 Communications

With 17,000 employees, One97 Communications is the parent company of the brand Paytm. The Indian e-payments app recently became very popular and accessible.

The top performers in the company get stock plans as rewards of good performance.

Amazon

A rival to Flipkart, Amazon is investing $5 billion in the Indian market. The e-commerce giant offers eight weeks of flexible or partial work hours for new parents, besides many more. A major portion of the new investment will also be directed towards employee perks. The company has 566,000 employees around the world.

Anheuser-Busch InBev

The brewing company behind brands like Budweiser, Beck’s and Stella Artois, employees 200,000 people globally. It is said, the candidate has to go through seven rounds of interviews to get a job here.

McKinsey & Company

With some of the biggest names in business as its alumni, management consultancy McKinsey stresses self-development and offers its staff a break of five to 10 weeks to pursue a personal passion. The global headcount of the company is 25,000.

Alphabet

One of the toughest companies to crack for a job, Alphabet is Google’s parent company with 80,110 employees. Once through, the employees can enjoy gourmet meals, fitness facilities, and onsite childcare.

KPMG India

A management consultancy firm, KPMG India gives a lot of stress on the health issues of its 197,263 employees.

EY

An accountancy firm, the company has flexible work arrangements and is looking to explore more employees in the data analytics and artificial intelligence aspects.

OYO

Started in 2011, OYO, an Indian start-up has grown quickly and each of its 2,700 employees has a say in running the business, including the office design.
