Board Exams To Be Held As Per Prescribed Syllabus: CBSE

New Delhi: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has advised students who will be appearing for the Board exams in 2020 to concentrate on the syllabus prescribed by it and available on its portal.

The advice was issued through a communication to clear confusion prevailing in the minds of the students on whether to follow the NCERT prescribed books or the CBSE Board syllabus. Certain portions in the NCERT Class X and XII books are highlighted with instructions that they are ‘not for examination or assessment’.

“It is for the information of all concerned that this information is not applicable for the students who will be appearing in Class X and XII examinations,” the communication issued by CBSE’s Controller of Examinations Sanyam Bharadwaj to all the school principles said.
