Five Of Six Minor Girls Swept Away In Mahanadi Rescued

Sambalpur: Six minor girls were swept away in the Mahanadi near Badabazar in the district on Sunday.

While locals and Fire Service personnel managed to rescue five girls, one, identified as Pinki Biswakarma, is still missing.

According to sources, the six girls had gone to the river around 11 am for bathing. One of them got swept away and when the other girls tried to rescue her, they too were dragged into deep waters by strong current.
