Bhubaneswar: WhatsApp, the country’s highest used messaging app, is about to roll out a new feature that will prevent admins from adding users to groups without their permission. Group admins will be able to send invitations to users to join their groups and users can accept or reject it within 72 hours, reports wabetainfo.com.

The feature has been rolled for iOS beta users currently and is expected to come to other platforms in the next few months.

Users can update ‘Who Can Add Me’ under privacy settings as well. When an admin adds a user, the user will get two options on his screen: Accept and Decline. Users will be able to join groups using links/
