Chromecast is another popular method to watch streaming content on your TV. Like the Fire Stick, Chromecast also connects to an HDMI port on your TV. The simplest method is to connect your laptop to your TV using an HDMI cable just as you would connect a projector. You can use the DTH cable connected. The laptop screen is mirrored onto the bigger display. You can choose to turn off the display on your laptop by going to the Display menu in control panel or searching for it in the start search box. From the menu, choose ‘Connect an external display’. Then select ‘Extend these displays’ from the ‘Multiple displays’ drop-down menu.
Apart from these techniques, you can also stream videos using media players such as Roku or gaming consoles such as Xbox and Xbox 360.
