Leopard Skin Seized in Kalahandi, Accused Absconds

Kalahandi: After Sambalpur and Mayurbhanj, leopard skin was seized from Kalahandi district of Odisha on Wednesday.

The police seized the skin while it was being ferried on a motorcycle near Dhanrabhata road under Biswanathpur police limits here. Those involved in the smuggling, however, managed to give police the slip.

A couple of days ago, a leopard skin was seized and three persons, including a bank employee, were arrested in Mayurbhanj district.

Another leopard skin racket was busted in Sambalpur on March 15. As many as 10 persons were arrested in that case. Four leopard skins were seized from them.
