Love For City Turns Odias into Jumping Jacks!

Bhubaneswar: Bhubaneswar’s metamorphosis into a Smart City is indeed phenomenal. The city people are proud of it like never before and they are willing to go to any heights to prove it. No wonder then that commoners and celebrities alike are literally jumping to show how much they love their city. 

#JumpForBhubaneswarChallenge has gone viral with hundreds of people posting their photographs taken at beautiful locations.

Posting his photo on social media, leading Odia actor Babushaan Mohanty wrote, “Beautiful Bhubaneswar is making my adrenalin rush and I can’t suppress my excitement on how the city has transformed. Yes I had to jump and click a snap! I do love Bhubaneswar and kudos to the city for all the eye-catching beautification.”

Many other celebrities like Rituraj Mohanty, Prakriti Mishra, Dutee Chand, Harihar Dash and Sulagna Routray have also taken up the challenge and jumped for their favourite city at select locations across Bhubaneswar. 

“My jump has got me the wings to fly. Miss not being in #Bhubaneswar right now. A big thumbs up for all the progress the city is making.  Love and happiness to all,’’ said Rituraj in his social media post.

Leading presenter Sulagna Routray said, “The city has become a decorated selfie site all over as it has come up with so many beautiful things coinciding with the Odisha Hockey Men’s World Cup-2018. We must accept the challenge and display our love for the city.”

 Step1: Go, Explore the city, choose your spot and time your jump. (the photo should be clicked while you are in the air)

Step2: Post your picture on Facebook/Instagram with a caption mentioning your reason to jump and tag your friends in the same post to pass on the challenge.

City resident Subham Kumar Parida, a student at Indian Statistical Institute, Kolkata, who is back home for the Hockey World Cup, said, “I could not believe my eyes. The cityscape has really changed in the three months. I am sure more and more people will join the challenge and express their love for the city.”
