Balasore: In a shocking incident, a man attempted suicide after allegedly killing his wife at Parmahala area near Soro in Balasore on Saturday.
Locals rescued the accused husband and sent him to the Soro hospital in a critical condition.
According to sources, the couple had a heated argument over some family disputes, following which, the accused husband slit his wife’s throat with a sharp weapon.
After committing the crime, he also tired to kill self by slitting his own throat.
On being informed, local police reached the spot and seized the woman’s body for postmortem.
The identities of both deceased woman and the accused husband are yet to be disclosed.
Investigation into the matter is on.
