Maoists Put Up Posters In Odisha’s Kandhamal, Support Agitating Farmers’ Demands

Kandhamal: Maoist posters were found at Kukuruma village under Phiringia police limits and Khadir village under Guchhapada police limits in tribal-dominated Kandhamal district on Monday.

In the posters allegedly put up by CPI (Maoist) State Committee, the Maoists have extend their support the agitating farmers under the aegis of Naba Nirman Krushak Sangathan (NNKS).

The Red rebels have also demanded Rs 10 lakh ex-gratia to the farmers’ kin, who commit suicide.

The police have sized the posters and started investigation.

Notably, the agitating farmers have been demanding ‘price’, ‘prestige’ and ‘pension’.  The Sangathan has decided to intensify its civil disobedience in all blocks and district headquarters in Odisha, protesting against the police action denying that entry into Bhubaneswar to attend the mass convention ion November 5.

Maoist posters were also found pasted at tress near a school at Durgapanga gram panchayat under Kotagad block in Kandhamal district on Sunday.

The CPI (Maoist) State Committee had appealed to the villagers to revolt against the Brahmanical Hindutva propaganda, while expressing concern over the rising Hindutva ideology in the nation.
