Keonjhar: A murder convict, serving 10-year jail term, died while undergoing treatment at the district headquarters hospital here on Wednesday.

The deceased has been identified as Bipin Nayak, a native of Hisaburu under Barbil police limits. He had been lodged in Keonjhar district jail since 2017 after a court sentenced him to 10 years of imprisonment in a murder case.

According to sources, Nayak was admitted to the hospital after he complained of chest pain and vomiting this morning. However, he succumbed to his illness.
