Odisha Govt Effects Minor Reshuffle In IPS Cadre

  1. Bhubaneswar: Odisha government effected a minor reshuffle in IPS cadre by transferring five officers on Friday.

According to a notification issued in this regard, 1999-batch officer Ghanashyam Upadhyay, who is presently posted as IG of Police Southern Range (Berhampur), has been appointed as the IG of Police, Special Intelligence Wing (SIW), Bhubaneswar.

While 2002-batch officer Narasingha Bhol has been posted as the new DIG of Police, North Central Range (NCR), Talcher; Dr Soorya Thankappan has been transferred and appointed as the DIG-cum-Deputy Director of Biju Patnaik State Police Academy (BPSPA), Bhubaneswar.

Similarly, Sarah Sharma, presently posted as SP of BPSPA, has been appointed as the new SP of CID, Crime Branch and 2015-IPS officer Padmini Sahoo is the Sub Divisional Police Officer (SDPO) of Panposh.
