Odisha Police Association Threatens To Go On Mass Leave From Feb 10

Cuttack: The Odisha Police Association (OPA) threatened to go on leave en masse from February 10 to press for their six-point charter of demands on Thursday.

OPA president Satyajit Mishra informed that the association would hold a meeting with the state government on February 5 to discuss their demands.

“If the government fails to fulfill our demands, all police officers will wear black badges from February 6,” he added.

In 2016, the OPA had placed a 13-point charter of demands before the state government. Their demands were cut down to six after a discussion with the Home Secretary and the Director General of Police.
