Patnagarh Blast Case: Gift Box Was Tracked From A Cyber Café In Bhawanipatna

Bhawanipatna: The Patnagarh police in Odisha’s Balangir district has got another major lead in the sensational wedding gift box blast that killed a bridegroom and his grandmother and left the bride with severe burn injuries at Bholanathpada of Bramhapura village on February 23.

While the police had earlier found that the gift box was sent through Skyking courier from Raipur in Chhattisgarh by one RK Sharma, it came to know that the gift box after sent through the courier was tracked by a person from a cyber café in Bhawanipatna in Kalahandi district.

Police came to know about the tracking of the gift box while verifying the pre-delivery tracking record at the office of the Skyking Courier in Kolkata recently.

Following the information, a seven-member team of Patnagarh police led by IIC Bareni Das and ASI Malaya Panda arrived at Bhawanipatna in the evening on February 8.

The team, after a meeting with Kalahandi SP, went to the cyber café but found it closed. Later, the team went to the Irrigation Colony and took the owner to the café. There, the team thoroughly examined the hard disk of all computers. From there, the team went to the BSNL office to check the timing and place of the tracking.

After completing its investigation, the team left Bhawanipatna after meeting the SP again at 10.30 PM.

No one in Bhawanipatna had any idea about the investigation by the Patnagarh police.

Though the police has not disclosed anything about its investigation to the media so far, sources said it has got vital lead in this case.
