Bhubaneswar: Bollywood actor Raveena Tandon, who mesmerised the audience with her dancing styles and comic timing, will be in Bhubaneswar to grace the 8th Ruchi Odia Filmfair Award.
Veteran actor Bijay Mohanty will be conferred with the Lifetime Achievement Award for his relentless contribution to Odia cinema. He will be given Rs 25,000 in cash along with a citation. Light boy Fakir Swain will get a special award of Rs 5,000. Odia cinema related awards in 28 different categories are yet to be announced.
Organised by White Canvas & White Canvas, the grand award ceremony will be held at Exhibition Ground in Bhubaneswar on March 4.
Standup comedian Sunil Pal and Miss Asia Shristi Rana will be the special attraction of the event. The event will be marked by music, dance and comedy, said founder organiser Ullash Behura adding that a special charity programme will be conducted to help 10 cancer affected children.
