The French carmaker has also added ELR (Emergency Locking Retractor) across all the variants that lets the rear seat belt to freely extend and retract with occupant movement, but also locks upon an impact or jerk.

The Kwid retains the same engines and gearbox. There is a choice of two engines – an 800 cc, 53 bhp or a 1000 cc 67 bhp one. It has an automatic AMT gearbox variant only on the 1000 cc variant.

There has been no increase in the prices. The ex-showroom price starts at Rs 2.67 Lakh and goes upto Rs 4.59 Lakh for the top-end Climber AMT.
