New India: Tennis ace Sania Mirza and her cricketer husband Shoaib Malik are set to welcome their first child in the month of October this year.
Sania tweeted a picture in this regard to suggest she is pregnant with a hashtag #BabyMirzaMalik. The news was confirmed by her father Imran.
Sania and Shoaib had celebrated their eight marriage anniversary on April 12.
Sania is currently out of action, due to a knee injury since October last year and hoping to make a comeback in French Open.
At the Goa Fest held recently, Sania had said that the child would keep surnames of both of them.
“We have decided that whenever we have a child, the child will have Mirza-Malik as a surname and not just Malik. So that’s where we stand as a family including my husband. He actually wants a daughter,” Sania had said.
