Tata Steel Bags Dun & Bradstreet Corporate Award

Mumbai/Bhubaneswar: Tata Steel has bagged the prestigious Dun & Bradstreet Corporate Award 2018 in the ‘Iron and Steel’ category for the fourth consecutive year.

Group general counsel of Tata Steel Dipali Talwar received the award on behalf of the organisation from Union Finance Minister Shiv Pratap Shukla, at a recent award ceremony held in Mumbai.

The event witnessed presence of senior bureaucrats, company CEOs, eminent corporate leaders and professionals.

The Dun & Bradstreet Corporate Awards have been commemorating outstanding performers among Indian Corporates since 2006. The Dun & Bradstreet Corporate Awards honours the Top 500 Companies in India, thus recognizing their role as ‘Champions of Change’ in the transformation of the country.

Speaking on the occasion, managing director, Dun & Bradstreet, India, Manish Sinha said, “India is currently witnessing a dynamic business environment propelled by government reforms and growing investor confidence. The economy shows improving industrial activity backed with improving domestic consumption and heavy infrastructure spending. The Dun and Bradstreet analysts’ team identify financial category wise parameters relevant for evaluating the performance of organisations. The parameters are included in a proprietary financial model that has been developed by the team in-house. This model is then used to identify the top performers in each category. Winners are chosen based
on a composite score which considers several quantitative factors.

Only businesses featured in the Dun & Bradstreet ‘India’s Top 500 Companies’ publication is considered for this award.
