Berhampur: The Fire Services personnel have begun a search operation to trace two brothers, who drowned in the Rushikulya river at Bhimpur village under Purushottampur block in Odisha’s Ganjam district on Wednesday morning.
According to reports, Sangram Pradhan (17), a Plus II student, and his younger sibling Subham (13), a Class VIII student, had gone to the river to take a bath in the morning.
While taking bath, the two brothers slipped into the deep waters and were swept away by the strong current.
Some boys, also taking bath in the river, ran back home and informed family members about the incident which took place at about 9.40 am.
Following information, a 10-member team of Fire Services personnel rushed to the spot and began the search operation.
Till reports last came in, the search operation was still on to locate the two missing boys.
