Two Odia Mountaineers Scale Mount Kilimanjaro


Bhubaneswar: The two mountaineers from Odisha have scaled Mount Kilimanjaro, the tallest mountain in Africa.

Report said the two Odia mountaineers—Kusha Arlaba of Koraput district and Lipika Seth of Bargarh district – begun their expedition to scale the mountain in Tanzania on January 21 and reached the its peak at a height of 5,895 metres (19,341 feet) above the sea level after five days on January 26 and hoisted the tricolour.

The two Odia mountaineers were accorded warm welcome after they arrived in Bhubaneswar on Wednesday.
