Jagatsinghpur: A woman along with her six-month-old daughter allegedly jumped into a river at Pokamula village in Jagatsingpur on Tuesday night.
The woman has been identified as Lipina Rout, wife of one Arikhita Rout. She was staying with her in-laws near the Devi river.
According to sources, Lipina seen out side the house with her daughter in the evening when all of a sudden she jumped into the river.
The onlookers informed her family members.
On being informed, police along with fire department officials and a team of ODRAF reached the spot and started a rescue operation.
Till reports last came in, the woman and her child were untraceable.
