Malipada: The mutilated body of a youth was recovered by Jankia police from Malipada area in Khurda district on Monday.
The deceased has been identified as Arjun Nayak, a resident of Harijan Sahi.
Locals spotted the body lying in mutilated state on National Highway-16 and immediately alerted the police, who rushed to the spot and seized the body.
“Two persons have been detained in connection with the case. It is suspected that the youth has been murdered over an old enmity. However, the exact reason of his death could only be ascertained after receiving the post-mortem report”, a police officer said.
