Cuttack: Actor-turned-politician Anubhav Mohanty extended an olive branch to estranged wife Varsha Priyadarshini, also an actor, in the birthday message for her on Saturday.
Taking to his verified Twitter handle, Anubhav wrote: “What if we couldn’t be good husband & wife, we should remain good friends 4ever! (sic)”

The estranged Ollywood couple are entangled in a legal battle since last year.
While Anubhav has filed for divorce from Varsha, the latter has demanded restitution of conjugal rights under section 9 of the Hindu Marriage Act.
Varsha has also moved Sub Divisional Magistrate of Cuttack, accusing him of physical and mental torture. She has filed a domestic violence case against him.
Following the March 5 Supreme Court ruling, the divorce suit filed by Anubha in Patiala House Court in New Delhi on July 6, 2020, was transferred to the court in Cuttack. Since then, the Kendrapada MP has been accusing Varsha of employing delaying tactics to extend the court proceedings by skipping the mediation sessions.
Varsha’s lawyer R K Rath has, however, accused him of overlooking the process of law and procedures of the court and misusing his power as an MP.
