Bhubaneswar Murder Case: Accused Jagannath Pradhan Admitted To AIIMS
Bhubaneswar: Jagannath Pradhan, the prime suspect in Priyanka Priyadarshini’s murder case, was admitted to AIIMS-Bhubaneswar on Saturday.
According to sources, Jagannath has sustained severe hand injuries while attempting to commit suicide after allegedly killing Priyanka. He was rescued from the rented house, where Priyanka stayed with her husband and three-year-old son, in a critical condition and admitted to Capital hospital on July 5.
“He was brought to the hospital in a critical condition. His condition had improved after seven to eight days of treatment. Jagannath had suffered a nerve injury in his hand. He was sent to AIIMS as they have better facilities for plastic surgery,” said Capital Hospital Director Dr Laxmidhar Sahoo.
Notably, Priyanka was found in a pool of blood in her rented house at Bhimtangi Housing Board Colony Phase-I area and Jagannath was rescued with bleeding injuries on his hand from the same house.
During the investigation, police recovered a suicide note of Jagannath from the house, where it was stated that he and Priyanka had known each other. As they had a strained relationship, he plotted to kill her and her son and commit suicide.
