Nuapada: Former Rajya Sabha member Alajangi Viswanath Swamy passed away at his residence at Khariar Road in Odisha’s Nuapada district on Tuesday. He was 91.
His son Suresh Achari confirmed the news.
Born on July 18, 1929, Swamy was the member of Rajya Sabha from April 4, 2012, to April 3, 2018. He was elected to the Upper House from Odisha as an Independent candidate.
