Mumbai: The Tata Steel, in its continuous endeavour towards shaping a sustainable future, celebrated World Environment Day across various locations, plants and division on Wednesday.

With the year’s theme ‘Beat Plastic Pollution’, the Tata Steel observed the  day by undertaking several activities including plantation of saplings, generating awareness on environmental sustainability through programmes like posters and drawing competitions among school children as well as quiz competition for employees.

On the occasion, the company unveiled an innovative ‘Break Up With Plastic’ campaign aimed at raising community awareness about replacing non-recyclable plastic with environment friendly materials.

The Tata Steel celebrated World Environment Day across various locations like Kalinganagar, Noamundi, West Bokaro, Jharia and Joda.
