Men’s Hockey World Cup 2018: Team India’s Jersey Unveiled In Mumbai

Mumbai/Bhubaneswar: The jersey for the Indian men’s hockey team for the upcoming Hockey World Cup 2018 was unveiled in Mumbai on Friday.

Well-known fashion designer Narendra Kumar from the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) has designed the jersey.

Players of the team with skipper P.R. Sreejesh unveiled the jersey. Legendary hockey players including Olympian and 1975 World Cup winner Ajit Pal Singh, former Indian team captains Dhanraj Pillay, Dilip Tirkey, Sardar Singh, Sandeep Singh and Ashok Kumar, son of hockey legend Dhyan Chand were also present.

Team India captain, P.R. Sreejesh said, “It is not easy for anyone to grab the Cup. There are high expectations from us because we have performed before. We have won medals and matches for the country and that is what everyone wants now. The players are ready, the entire team is ready and we need your support.”

The upcoming Men’s Hockey World Cup, 2018 is scheduled to be held in Bhubaneswar from November 28 to December 16.
