MI Beats Kolkata To Keep Play-Off Hopes Alive

Mumbai: Mumbai Indians (MI) clinched a 13-run win against Kolkata Knight Riders to remain in the play-off race, at Wankhade Stadium here on Sunday.

The team posted a challenging total of 181/4, courtesy 91-run opening partnership between Suryakumar Yadav (59 off 39 balls) and Evin Lewis (43 off 28 deliveries), besides Hardik Pandya’s fiery shots.

While chasing, Kolkata put up a fight with Robin Uthappa and Nitish Rana scoring 84 runs. Skipper Karthik too tried to contribute and slammed 36 off 26 balls, but faltered as wickets went down.

To enter the play-off, Mumbai needs to win all their remaining matches.
