Sonam’s Wedding Festivities Kick Off With Grand Mehendi
Bhubaneswar: The much-awaited wedding rituals of Sonam Kapoor and Anand Ahuja began on Sunday evening with a grand mehendi ceremony at Anil Kapoor’s home in Mumbai.
Sonam Kapoor dazzled in Anuradha Vakil lehenga, which she teamed up with huge chaandbaalis, and her fiance sported a drool-worthy look in an achkan. The ceremony saw late actress Sridevi’s daughetrs Janhvi and Khushi Kapoor, who caught the eyes of many in clothes designed by Manish Malhotra. Sonam’s cousin Arjun Kapoor and uncle Sanjay Kapoor with his family were in attendance.
Sonam’s sister Rhea Kapoor shared pictures of the evening on Instagram.

Rhea also shared a picture of her while mehendi was being applied on her hands.
Sonam and Ahuja will get married on Tuesday as per Sikh traditions and a star-studded wedding reception will be hosted later in the evening by the couple.
Sonam, however, will get back to work soon after her wedding and the couple’s honeymoon will get delayed. The actress will walk the red carpet at the French Riviera on May 14 and Cannes Film Festival 2018 later in the month. There were rumours of them walking the Cannes together, but as per the sources, she will walk the red carpet by herself. Due to their busy schedule, they will not be able to make time for their honeymoon before October.
Sonam’s ‘Veeri Di Wedding’ also releases on June 1 and the actress will be busy with the promotion of the film. The shoot for Shelly Dhar’s ‘Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga’ with her father Anil Kapoor will also resume. In August, she will start working for the movie ‘The Zoya Factor’ with DUlquer Salmaan.
