Two Dacoits Detained By Locals, Handed Over To Cops In Bhadrak

Bhadrak: Two dacoits were detained by the locals of Betalia village under Dhusuri police station limits in Bhadrak district on Tuesday.

According to a local resident, a gang of six dacoits were attempting to enter into a house in the village posing as salesmen. Some villagers, however, managed to catch hold of the duo while they were attempting to loot valuables from the house. The looters were thrashed black and blue and later handed over to the police.

However, four members of the dacoit gang managed to flee the spot.

“The accused are being interrogated. We are trying to nab other members of the gang”, a police officer said.
